So the pace of visible change has slowed a bit. I know they’re working just as hard, but at the end of the day I no longer come home and see walls where just that morning there had been nothing.
Today they spent the day putting new facia on our existing rafters, to which they will attach new gutters. It’s impossible anymore to find redwood gutters like the old ones on our house; so in order to have a consistient look from the addition to the old house we’re replacing everything with new gutters. It’s a little sad for me, especially since wood like that 80-year-old redwood just doesn’t exist any more, but it was after all a pain in the ass to clean out the old ones.
The electrical is already wired in and the walls and roof are covered in plywood-like strand board (I think that’s what it’s called) that looks like particle board with huge particles in it.
